One Day Wildlife Experience For Kids
This one day experience is a powerful eye-opener for young learners to gain insight into the impact of Wildlife Crime on biodiversity and our society. They conduct a Forensic Activity that stimulates their thinking in science and detective work. With a Game Drive they have the chance to see animals in the wild, and then through our mock crime scenes gain a strong understanding of the hurtful results of wildlife crime.
Objectives:
Understand the threat of Wildlife Crime has on both our planet and our children’s future;
Gain insight to some of the methods used to counteract Wildlife Crime;
Receive basic skills in Wildlife Forensics;
Receive basic survival training (in partnership with Four88 Academy);
See wild animals in their natural environment.
1-Day Program:
9.00 Welcome talk and facilities tour
09.15 – 09:45 Introduction to Wildlife Crime
09.45 – 11.45 Wildlife Cluedo: can you solve the crime?
11.45 – 12.45 Lunch break
12.45 – 13.45 Fun in the sun: outdoor ecology session
13:45 – 14:00 Recap of the day: what have you learned today?
It is to be noted that program can be extended to span several days. Accommodation is available on the premises for school groups and scout groups
